Welcome to the Spring 2011 edition of Approach – the newsletter from the social research team at Ipsos MORI Scotland. The newsletter aims to provide an insight into new research methods and ideas, as well as taking a fresh look at more established ones. This is the seventh edition of the newsletter and features three very different articles. Qualitative Research with Young People discusses some of the aspects that should be considered when conducting research with this group. Identifying Priorities with Paired Choice Analysis demonstrates how paired choice analysis works and how it can be used as a quantitative method for gauging respondents’ priorities. Finally, with the awards season in full flow, we decided to roll out the red carpet for the Ipsos MORI Scotland Oscars…
