The Times Conference: Scotland and the Union: what future?

Our poll on Public Attitudes Towards Scotland's Constitutional Future provided the backdrop to a day of discussion and debate on issues surrounding the forthcoming independence referendum. An audience of invited guests attended the conference, which was hosted by The Times and featured a keynote speech from First Minister, Alex Salmond. Some of the UK's top academics then took part in a series of panel discussions on the implications of independence for the constitution and the economy, followed by a political debate on the future of the Union.
