The Scottish Public Opinion Monitor collects data and tracks perceptions on a number of key political and economic indicators. The following pages provide access to the latest data and links to previously published articles.

Voting intention

We measure voting intention for Holyrood elections and track perceptions of the party leaders. The Scottish Public Opinion Monitor was recognised for being the most accurate poll ahead of the 2011 Scottish Parliament elections.

Important issues

What are the key issues concerning Scots? We track perceptions of the most important issues facing Scotland and also measure attitudes towards issues at the top of the political and social agenda.

Economic optimism

Economic optimism has been recognised as a key indicator of how the economy is likely to perform in the coming months. We track optimism of the Scottish and UK economies, as well as intention to make 'big ticket' purchases.
