Having specialised in media measurement for more than thirty years, Ipsos MediaCT has a long and well established pedigree in running large scale audience measurement surveys.  We successfully conduct more media audience measurement surveys than any other agency in the UK, including Europe's largest and most complex.

We also run the BARB (TV) Establishment Survey, the Business Elite Surveys, a group of syndicated surveys measuring media consumption among the top 1% within the world business community and the British Business Survey (BBS) which measures online and print readership of Britain's 1.2 million Purchase Decision Makers.

Bespoke measurement 

In addition, we design and conduct bespoke audience measurement research for a range of broadcasters and media owners not currently measured via the industry surveys.  Examples include:

  • Measurement of out-of-home TV audiences for sporting events on behalf of a major UK broadcaster
  • Online audience measurement for a minority digital radio station
  • JICREG research for regional newspapers
  • Audience measurement tracking via CATI for a regional television channel

Whatever the scale or scope of the audience measurement study, we always use our expertise and experience to design the most appropriate and effective methodology to find out what our clients want to know.  For example, one audience measurement method we have developed extensive experience in is using diaries.  To measure audiences, we have experience in developing online diaries, diaries using PDA devices, more traditional paper-based diaries, and more recently diaries on respondents' own mobile phones
